Konavle is the southernmost part of Croatia and borders Montenegro in the south and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the north. The center of this karstic valley surrounded by mountain Snježnica and Adriatic Sea is beautiful town of Cavtat and 32 settlements. Konavle is the land of watermills with small canals throughout the region. Its name derives from the Latin word canalis which means water supply channel.
35 km long and 12 km wide, with its beautiful mountain, three rivers, fertile valley and surrounded by the sea, this heaven on Earth is only 30 minutes distant from Old Town.
